Sources

Growing advice is based on extension services, botanical gardens and established gardening references. Where advice depends on climate, we say so and suggest checking local planting calendars.

Safety

Gardening with children involves tools, water, soil and sometimes sun and insects. Our guides include basic precautions, but supervision and your school's own policies come first. Soil in cities can contain contaminants; we explain when testing is wise.

Independence and corrections

No brand or program pays to appear on the site. Photographs come from free stock libraries and are credited. When we get something wrong, we fix it and update the date; you can reach us through the contact page.
