We have been working closely with growingCities, architecture partners Devin Lafo and Saranga Nakhooda who have collaborated with us to design a truly lovely garden plan. They are also sharing their construction skills with us for the big build. They have been a huge asset – check out their work!
Another indispensable partner we are working with is Build it Green! NYC. They have been extremely diligent and generous with sourcing used scaffolding for us to build our planter beds and outdoor pavilion. Using recycled scaffolding also fits in well with our mission. These guys rock – Got a building project? Need some reclaimed material? How about just an cool cabinet that has been in an old church for a million years? Go to one of their warehouses in Astoria or Gowanus – you will not be disappointed.
We are also very proud to be working with Encendia Biochar. Justin brought a few bags by the farm in early May and we’ve incorporated them into our soil. Very excited to keep adding more in the future and give our crops all the energy they need to grow to their maximum potential.
